Bakhtiyar

Exhibition of Fine Persian Carpets, Runners and Kilims

Medieval Hall, West Walk, Cathedral Close, Salisbury,

Wiltshire, SP1 2EY

15th – 17th April 2016

Open 10:00am – 5:00pm

Free Entrance

From the 15th - 17th April 2016 we will be hosting our bi-annual exhibition of fine Persian carpets in Salisbury’s historic Medieval Hall in the Cathedral Close. With the lifting of western sanctions against Iran, we will be bringing an exciting new array of hand-knotted carpets- modern and traditional, new and antique, along with runners, kilims and hand-block printed Persian tablecloths and throws. It will be a wonderful opportunity to see the beautiful new collection.

Take a step in to The Medieval Hall this April and you will be transported from the heart of Wiltshire into the bustling bazaar and the plains of Persia- from the delights of the Qashqai nomadic tribe near Persepolis to the treasures of the historic bazaar in Isfahan; full of intricately detailed pieces- you will see wonders not seen before.

Find old and antique carpets bursting with a history to be told, or new carpets waiting to have their history written with your family and its generations to come.

Bakhtiyar was founded in the UK by Masoud Mazaheri-Asadi the internationally renowned Persian carpet specialist, who will be at the exhibition personally to express the wonders of the Middle East and talk about Persia and its illustrious history, culture and art. He will also be giving expert advice on the cleaning, repair and restoration of carpets.

You can find more information about the exhibition on our website www.bakhtiyar.com. You can also get exclusive sneak peek behind the scenes pictures and footage from the exhibition before it opens on our Facebook (BakhtiyarUK) and Twitter pages (@TheCarpetDoctor).
