From the 6th - 8th March 2015 local Stockbridge business Bakhtiyar will once again host an exhibition of fine Persian carpets in Salisbury’s historic Medieval Hall in the Cathedral Close. There will be an array of modern, traditional, new and antique carpets on display along with runners, kilims and hand-block printed Persian tablecloths/throws.
Take a step in to The Medieval Hall and be transported from the heart of Wiltshire into the bustling bazaar’s of Persia, trading with the nomads near Persepolis for Qashqai carpets or the historic bazaar of Isfahan for finer pieces, you will see wonders not seen before.
Bakhtiyar was founded by Masoud Mazaheri internationally reknowned Persian carpet specialist, he will be at the exhibition personally showing visitors the wonders of the Middle East and talking about Persia and its illustrious history, culture & art. He will also be giving expert advice on cleaning, repairs and restoration of client’s carpets.
