From the 7th - 9th November 2014 we will be hosting an exhibition of fine Persian carpets in Salisbury’s historic Medieval Hall in the Cathedral Close. There will be an array of modern, traditional, new and antique carpets on display along with runners, kilims and hand-block printed Persian tablecloths.
Bakhtiyar will be transporting visitors to the bazaars of Persia and taking them on a magical journey through the history of Persian carpets. Carpets from all of the major weaving regions and also of the lesser-known regions will be on display to excite the eye and mind.
Internationally renowned Persian carpet specialist, Masoud Mazaheri-Asadi will be at the exhibition personally showing visitors the wonders of the Middle East and talking through Persia and its illustrious history, culture & art. It's also an opportune time to receive expert advice on the cleaning, repair and restoration of Persian carpets.
